FMJD : Déclaration sur l'attaque terroriste dans un café à Dhaka, au Bangladesh

Statement of WFDY in relation with brutal terrorist attack on a cafe in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Terrorism driven by fundamentalist groups has become a major problem faced by the entire world currently, which ruthlessly causes bloodsheds around the globe. There has been a deadly terrorist attack on 1st and 2nd of July 2016, on a cafe in Dhaka, Bangladesh. 28 people, among these 20 foreigners 6 militants and two police officers have been killed by the terrorist attack. The responsibility of these attacks has been claimed by the fundamentalist, terrorist organization. Initially, we would like to express deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and wish fast recovery of those who have been injured.

The well-established truth is that the fundamentalism and extremism are being continuously fueled by the imperialists. In turn, fundamentalism and extremism are tools used by imperialists in order to serve their own interests. Terrorist organization funded by USA intending to serve its imperialist intentions. As they attempt to do with any other country, imperialists use this terrorist organization to make the Bangladesh also unstable and vulnerable by using any destructive method.

We also condemn the series of brutal attacks and targeted killing. The progressive writers, bloggers, minorities, even the dissident Islamic individuals were killed by these terrorists since 2013. Terrorist attacks in Bangladesh are not only challenges before Bangladesh or Asia. Terrorism led by the imperialists led by USA is a global threat. Therefore, we invite all the progressive and anti-imperialist forces around the world, to hold hand in hand strongly to condemn and to fight against every kind of brutal terrorist attacks around the world.

Finally, WFDY expresses its deep condolences and solidarity towards the families of the victims. It also declares that the solution and the fight against terrorism will not be found through violence and repression, but through the international solidarity and friendship between the peoples. Simultaneously, it calls the youth of the world to join their voice with WFDY in the struggle against imperialism in order to achieve the long lasting peace.
