FMJD : Message pour le 9 mai, 70ème anniversaire de la victoire des peuples contre le fascisme

Dear Comrades, Dear Friends,

70 years since the great anti fascist victory of the peoples are completed this year. This historical victory of the peoples was written with the blood of 50 millions of people. The indescribable horror of the concentration camps, the nightmare of starvation, the brutality and the mass slaughters, are the crimes that we need to remember when the fascist spreads its darkness above the World. 
The antifascist victory despite its hard price, created in humanity the hope for a peaceful future, for a future without the repetition of the interimperialists conflicts that will always be paid by the peoples. The victory against hitlerfascism was considered as a strong indication that the future belongs to the peoples which are unite and fight. 
After the ashes of the 2nd World War it was the time of the birth of WFDY on the 10th of November 1945, declaring the necessity of the struggle of the youth against imperialism and fascism. 
Today we are facing the spread of fascism around the whole world in the manner of dividing and attacking the sovereignty of various countries in a way of fulfilling the plans of imperialism. It is proven that fascism is a material in the hands of imperialism. Although that these fascist movements are expressed by different faces and forms, they all have the same act against the society. 
Today we see efforts of the powerful centers in the EU for the falsification of the historical truth, where they are trying to tarnished the contribution of the Soviet Union to the crush of fascism along with their anti communism propaganda where they are trying to equate communism with fascism. They are even trying to replace the day of the anti fascist victory with the day of Europe. 
Nevertheless, the contribution of the Soviet Union along with the Communist and Working parties of the world and the peoples that resisted was decisive for the anti fascist victory. In every front the communists pioneered in organising and conducting the resistance against fascism and occupation. The role of the USSR was decisive in the outright defeat of fascism. 
Finally, as we said during our last GCM, 70 years after we still appeal to the youth for the massive struggle against imperialist plans, to go hand in hand with the organized struggle, to eliminate the causes that give birth to wars, fascism and anti – popular measures, with the struggle to overthrow imperialism. A struggle that will create the conditions for lasting peace, for a world that will not exclude anyone from the right to life, education, health, work, housing and entertainment.
