FMJD : Déclaration contre les tentatives de déstabilisation de la République bolivarienne du Venezuela

The World Federation of Democratic Youth is watching with the relevant concern the recent attempts for the destabilization of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and consequently condemns the said attempts. These attempts are in way trying to stop a progresive process in a country where the last years had made a lot of steps towards equality and social transformation.

It’s been a year now since the fascists in Venezuela tried to topple the Bolivarian Revolution with violent demonstrations, and now we see that reactionary political and social forces in the country are still trying to depose a process that was democratically chosen since 1998. Since the violation in the streets of Caracas last year which consequently provided the death and injure for a lot of civilians didn’t succeed, another attempt is now obvious and is consisted with the economic war that is taking place in Venezuela. This attempt has internal and external supporters. Internally we see the support of several media and paramilitary groups, and externally the support of the powerful centers in the USA and EU. Their aim is to create the sense of discontent to the people by creating unheard shortages and other social problems.

Further, imperialists actions and procedures that are well supported by the imperialist forces as the U.S., will be always condemned by WFDY since they are connected with foreign interventions on the benefit of a system that produces and reproduces the poverty, the pauperization and wars.

Therefore the Federation expresses its condemnation for the said attempts and it is calling the progressive youth of the world to join the international solidarity mission to Venezuela which is organized by WFDY between 20 – 28 of February 2015. This mission will be the first official international event for the 70th anniversary campaign of WFDY. Representatives of progresive organisations from all over the world will attend this mission to send an international message, to send the message that the progressive and democratic youth of the World will always stand in front and against the imperialist powers and interventions. Will always stand in front and against the powers that through the method of undermining and provocation, or though brutally violated ways are aiming to topple the Bolivarian Revolution.
