FMJD : Déclaration en défense de la paix en Colombie et contre l'offensive impérialiste en Amérique latine

The last Monday April 9th was arrested in Colombia a member of the National Political Council of the Common Revolutionary Alternative Force (FARC) Seuxis Hernández Solarte, alias Jesus Santrich, for alleged drug trafficking crimes. His home was raided by order of the Colombian Attorney General at the request of the Embassy of the United States in Bogotá.

This fact, orchestrated directly from the United States, is an open aggression on compliance with the Peace Agreement signed between the Government of Colombia and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army in 2016. It is another obstacle that joins those who have hindered since signing the implementation of what was agreed in Havana.

This fact also becomes the vertex of the imperialist offensive in Latin America against other processes of left and progressive forces in the region.

From WFDY we condemn this new maneuver of imperialism. We demand respect for the implementation of the peace agreements of Colombia and the cessation of the aggression against the processes of left and progressive forces in the region.
