WFDY message on the 9th Congress of Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League

Dear comrades,

The HQ of the World Federation of Democratic Youth is informing you about the occasion of the 9th Congress of Kim IL Sung Socialist Youth League in coming late August. During the last GC meeting we approved that we will have an International Solidarity Month towards the struggle of the Korean people and youth for the withdrawal of US troops from South Korea and for the national independent and peaceful reunification.

As we all know, Kim IL Sung Socialist Youth League is the unique massive youth organization of Socialist Korea with its long history and tradition over 70 years since its founding.

Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League has been admitted in WFDY 70 years ago in 1946 and made a great contribution to strengthening the WFDY with its vice presidency for 50 years since 1966. And KISSYL is the only MO in the Asian pacific region to host the World Festival of Youth and Students with the good experience of the splendid 13th WFYS in 1989.

WFDY calls all its member organizations to send the warm congratulation and solidarity to the Korean people and the youth who have fought for over 50 years to achieve the final victory of socialism even in the bitter pain of national division, unprecedented war moves and economic blockade on the occasion of the 9th Congress of Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League.
